John Calcott Horsley (1811-1903)   
Genre painter best known for the nickname 'Clothes Horsley', which he acquired in championing public decency against nudity in art in the 1880s -- a campaign which was happily unsuccessful.
   Horsley also designed the first Christmas card, in 1843.
