The gallery is adjoins the museum and library, but has a separate entrance. There is a rotating exhibition of works from the permanent collection. There are two or three significant oils, and a good collection of (mainly topographical) watercolours of the period.    The gallery is near the Town Square Car Park and the 'Spindles' shopping centre; it is 10 minutes walk from the station and the bus station is even nearer.
